Ankolyn - Blue Alighting Faerie

Small Watercolour Painting
Ankolyn - Blue Alighting Faerie

"This painting portrays oneness; the confident ability to stand alone. Her pose shows the moment Ankolyn comes to rest gently on an open rose. Her wings have not yet closed and her shoulders show no tension as her arms hang naturally at her sides. A string of flowers threads through her relaxed fingers.

The loosely-marbled delicate colours are serene: While the shimmering yellow-white above her head adds an ethereal lightness to her descent. The feathering of her wings and the folds of her dress add texture and interest to the foreground."

Ankolyn - Blue Alighting Faerie

Ankolyn is a slender, radiant diva; an esoteric fairy dwelling in the mystical realm between the physical and spiritual worlds.

Her alabaster skin glows with an inner luminosity. Energy streams through copper hair tumbling past her waist, and up into delicate wings reflecting the colours of light. She is dressed in a fine, silken film of pale blue. The ethereal material whispers over her body and into loose ribboned petals that flutter lightly over green-clad legs. She has a fairy-flower chain loosely threaded through her fingers, and uses it to tie wayward buds into order.

She gently alights. Her movement transmits vibrations, and energy flows into the sleepy-pale dog-rose. Encouraging it to awaken to face the birth of a new day, she surrenders the energy gently and lovingly, knowing her charge will shake the slumber from its resting pose.
